About R&D

Waterland Asia Bio Ventures R&D center is focusing on a wide variety of natural materials waste (wood, forestry and agriculture feed stocks) opportunities from which biomass can be produced of. All geographically located in Indonesia.
All the mentioned data in our website are compiled from different sources and pilot projects located solely in Indonesia.
The results of our R&D Jatropha planting practices are, in comparison to other locations situations in other countries outside Indonesia, different in methods, results and practiced methods. It is obvious that the results and the used methods are very depending on the local climatological and soil conditions of the specific planting areas, provinces and countries.

Our R&D has developed a successful planting, production, marketing sales, education & investment program based upon the results and developments collected from several pilot projects in Middle Java. Starting from the source of the seeds (generative propagation), the branch- and micro- cutting material (vegetative propagation), up to growth and yield results per season and per several different types of field testing areas. More specifically our results and developments are based on the local Indonesian conditions on production performance (survival rates), growth and flowering results, oil content of the produced seeds, genetic decent (propagated by seeds or cuttings), origin of the seeds/cuttings. Also current site conditions such as climate (rainfall average, seasons, temperature regime, dew, humid & soil moisture content, altitude to the sea level, soil type, weed clearance, critical-, marginal- and poor- land areas up to evolving and standardization of optimum plant/seed production.
