Fertilizing

Disclaimer and reservation

Basically, fertilization is meant to add growing power needed for the crop. Kinds and dosage of fertilizer are subject to the fertility of the soil. Fertilization can be done twice a year; at the beginning and the end of the rain season. Plants need organic/compound/animal fertilizer, N (Nitrogen), P (Phosphorus), K (Potassium), and Mg (Magnesium) to get a maximum output. Lack of nitrogen causes that flowers will wilt and the seed production will decrease. How to apply fertilizer:

  • Make a little ditch on all sides of the plant as far as coronets with about 3 to 5 cm in depth.
  • Spread out the fertilizer into the ditch.
  • Cover up the ditch with soil.
