Mowing

Disclaimer and reservation

Dry soil, which just has been cultivated, is a good area for parasitical grass. This grass will make the JCL plant becoming cretin-grown and yellow. To protect the growth of the JCL plant, so that it will grow fast and will be well producing, mowing in a very early stage is essential. Mowing must start when the Jatropha is 3 to 4 weeks old. Mowing can be done both manually and mechanically. Manual or mechanical mowing can be done by removing grass with hoes. Mowing must be done continuously so that the grass cannot grow again.
